"Show
People Love And Share Him"

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew28:19-20 (NIV)

NOTES FROM NOONDAY With Reverend Kennetta Carter:

John 4 – The Samaritan Woman

-Everybody needs love; all of us deserve kindness!
-Are you helping people to see they are persons of worth?
-Jesus offers the woman ‘living water.’ Most times we think people don’t want to talk about the ‘living water’ & we offer something else other than Jesus.
-How often do we excitingly share about the goodness of the Lord? The message: The Good News of Jesus Christ?
-Before you arrive, Pray for the atmosphere – and that GOD will allow people to Receive the Word; Lift up Jesus, He will do the drawing
-He transformed the woman’s life; Jesus wasn’t trying to condemn her – He was trying to set her free.
-Don’t condemn people, send forth the word to bring forth transformation
-It’s not about getting people to come to church, it’s about their soul – and their relationship with God
-Jesus points her to the Father and to Himself
-Are you pointing people to the Lord? We should lead them to God
-He is the Only one that can handle their situation – what is the deepest need of a person? Are we able to see the real need vs. the one on the exterior?
When we show kindness, we should direct people to the source of our kindness: Jesus.

John 5 – The Crippled Man

-People probably saw the man there all the time, but they didn’t Notice him
-We tend to move past people and their conditions; do we really see that we need to reach out to them – for help?
-Jesus Stopped! He gave the man some attention! He Learned about the man’s condition; so He did some investigating to find out what was going on.
-Perhaps we should look at person’s conditions and ask God how we can help to get them out of their situation
-We need to go deeper to find out what’s really going on with this person
-Jesus asked: “Do you want to get well?” –The man began his pity party- just like we do – ‘I can’t get a job; no one will give me food; I’m all out here alone...’ Let it GO! Jesus asked the man, one question!
-Jesus told the man to pick up his mat and walk – Jesus healed on the Sabbath, so He’d broken the law.
AND – Jesus not only dealt with the healing, He told the man to pick up the mat and walk! The man had no idea Who'd healed him! Jesus slipped away, intentionally saw the man later, told him to stop sinning.
-AND- He went back to tell the man to stop sinning. It was all about the man’s spiritual relationship with the Lord. Jesus intentionally went back and dealt with the man’s soul.

John 6 – Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand

-Jesus was concerned about the 'congregation' and wanted to take care of their needs physically
-AND- Jesus shared God's Word with them [Spiritual Food]; He helped them to grow, share and have eternal life.
It’s ok to be kind, do a good deed, etc. –AND- we should share the gospel of Jesus

John 9 –The Blind Man

-The man was born blind but sometimes things happen in situations where God can display His work – show that He is almighty and give sight to the blind
-Not only physically, but also spiritually –Physically AND Spiritually-
-The man tells his story and they wanted to know who Jesus was; the man thought he was a prophet.
“Do you believe in the Son of Man?” Jesus asked. The man believed and he worshipped Him. His eyes were spiritually opened and he believed.

We must let people know that if God can do if for me, He can do it for you.
We must do the AND part – going to another level – taking another step to be concerned about people’s souls – letting them know who God is and how Jesus can save their souls.

Verbal witness – we must share Christ in verbal ways – S.P.L.A.S.H. this week verbally!
