THE REVEREND DR. MARVIN C. ZANDERS, II

"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, which you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body."
- 2 Corinthians 6: 19-20 NRSV

Dear Family and Friends:

Our son recently went to college over a thousand miles away. While on campus I noticed that various alumni were recognized by being labeled as being “made” by the university. Seeing that took my mind to who we are in Christ, “prayer made.” It is our ultimate source of connectivity to the Father, to all he would have us do and all he would have us be.

With the structure of Rick Warren’s The Daniel Plan: 40 Days to a Healthier Life, St. Paul AME Church will embark on a journey that is focused on abundance through faith, food, focus, fitness and friends, instead of deprivation. I’m trusting God and believing that together through Him, by faith and in prayer we will become all that He wants us to be. What an awesome way to glorify God!

As we continue to work for the Kingdom I implore all of you to reflect on Christ during this Lenten season. Relying on our own strength, our own abilities, and our own capacity to love will always leave us lacking. But His example, His suffering, His sacrifice, death, burial and resurrection reminds us that with and through Christ all things are possible.

God’s best for you is my prayer,
Marvin C. Zanders, II
